Karin started designing jewelry in 1980, working with African trade beads and bone. She also sold original sand dollar and shell jewelry to Nordstroms and other NW venues. She took a short break from jewelry design to concentrate on her oil painting, mostly mountain and water landscapes inspired by the beautiful North Cascades and Skykomish River in her backyard. Spending her winters traveling throughout the Southwest has fueled her passion once more for jewelry design. She is always searching for unique and one of a kind semi-precious genstones to combine with silver and bone to create her custom jewelry.
